MICxUS 25 – Symposium on Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) in Industrial and Utility Systems

The Environmental Health Research Centre of the University of Nicosia is excited to announce the Call for Abstracts for the upcoming ‘MICxUS 2025 – Symposium on Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) in Industrial and Utility Systems’ to be held from January 21-23, 2025, in Cyprus.

We invite researchers, practitioners, and innovators to submit abstracts for 12-minute short presentations/posters addressing critical advancements and challenges in MIC across various systems in the industry.

Topics of Interest

We welcome abstract submissions on the following topics:

• MIC and biofilms in wastewater systems
• MIC and biofilms in drinking water systems
• MIC and biofilms in industrial systems in general

Submission Guidelines

Abstract Length: Up to 250 words.

Structure: Include the title, authors, affiliations, contact details, and a concise summary of the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions. Please follow the format and instructions provided in the TEMPLATE. When saving the document, adhere to the specified naming convention: FirstName_Surname_MICxUS2025.docx

Deadline: December 6, 2024

All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process. Accepted abstracts will be featured in the conference abstract book.
