Matthew is a member within the Euro-MIC COST framework. This project is funded by the European Union and enables scientists to bridge knowledge and capabilities across countries and disciplines.

Summary of the experiences and competences of Matthew

Matt is currently responsible for leading multiple global customer projects for SGS relating to integrated Production Chemistry services, Oilfield Microbiology using advanced DNA meta-genomics, Reservoir Souring and Corrosion Forensics incorporating SGS MiRAS (Microbial Risk Assessment) technology, analytical programmes and consultancy services.

He is a strong solution driven individual with experience in Industrial Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Corrosion Forensics, Production Chemistry, Water Treatment, Biocides and Reservoir Souring with hands-on field application experience developed across many regions and global customer locations.

Matt has a keen focus on new service developments and continued focus on green hydrogen cyclic storage in the subsurface, Carbon Capture and Underground Storage (CCUS), Geothermal and a refreshed drive to support renewable energy sectors.
