Andreas is a member within the Euro-MIC COST framework. This project is funded by the European Union and enables scientists to bridge knowledge and capabilities across countries and disciplines.

Summary of the experiences and competences of Andreas

Educated as physical interface chemist, I work as professor of corrosion and interface chemistry at NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology since 2015. My specialities are metal pretreatment and the elucidation of electrochemical reaction mechanisms by coupling lab-based optical spectroscopy (e.g., IR, Raman, ellipsometry) with electrochemical experiments. Our group works on all types of materials and questions, but has especially good expertise on aluminium.

Looking for help? Andreas can help you with the following items

– Interpretation of vibrational spectra (IR / Raman) in complex systems
– Electrochemical experiments (including equipment for field measurements)
– Surface analysis of metals
