Summary of the experiences and competences of Silvana
Silvana B. Dimitrijević, Senior Research Associate, graduated in metallurgy engineering in 1997 at Technical Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade. In 2014, she received a Ph.D. degree in metallurgy at the University of Belgrade. She has been with the Copper Institute (now Mining & Metallurgy Institute) Bor since June 1st, 1998, as an еxpert Associate in the fields of hydro and electrometallurgy and recycling metals (especially precious). From 2008 to 2011 she worked in the electrometallurgy laboratory in the Sector for Special Production. Since 2011 he has been working in the Sector for Science, and as an Research Associate, since December 18, 2014. The title of Senior Research Associate in the The Center for Science-Research and development activities is acquired on May 18, 2020.
Her main fields of interest are the recycling of precious metals and electroplating. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific and technical papers from which 27 were on SCI (TR) list, and over 100 publications at international and domestic conferences.
She was a participant in 3 projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Republic of Serbia, and has coordinated one national project (TR 34024). She was has participated in two projects financed European Commission (COST Actions). She participated in over 35 projects and studies for industrial partners from Serbia and international (RTB Bor, Elixir Šabac, Metalfer, Sirmium Steel Sremska Mitrovica, MG Serbian Baljevac, FBC Majdanpek, Copper Rolling Mill Sevojno, and several medium and small recycling companies).
She is the responsible designer of metallurgical processes, license no. 385 R296 18 (issued by Serbian Chamber of Engineers).
