Summary of the experiences and competences of Johan
I am a researcher at RISE in Sweden, working on questions on corrosion, antifouling and product durability with a special interest in marine environments. I have a background as a surface chemist working within the fields of antifouling and corrosion.
With the upcoming increase in Blue Economy, how can we protect critical components in the harsh oceanic environment? What are the novel corrosion protection coatings/materials and environmentally friendly antifouling solutions of the future? How do we protect from corrosion and fouling in a sustainable way, minimising any potential negative impact to the marine environment?
Looking for help? Johan can help you with the following items
We (RISE) have ocean test sites on the west coast of Sweden (Baltic transition ocean, close to the North Sea), the east coast of Sweden (Baltic), and Atlantic Ocean (Insitute de la Corrosion, Brest, FR). We perform antifouling and corrosion tests in “field environments” at test sites. We can perform highly accelerated lifetime tests in lab with natural seawater in temperature controlled tanks, and we can perform standardized test in a controlled lab environment (e.g. Biocide release rate, Microplastic release rate). We love to help customers develop novel/customised test setups and methods to meet their needs.
RISE has over 100 specialist in corrosion!
