I am a professor of metallurgical and materials science engineering. I have been working on surface coating, casting, alloy development. I am interested in surface properties of metals including corrosion and wear.

I have a laser surface coating laboratory. There is a 2 kW fiber laser coating machine in this laboratory. Our laser machine capabilities are listed below.
– Any type of metallic material can be surfaced with any desired metallic material,
– For a single pass, coating thickness can vary from 0.5 mm to 3 mm.
– From very small samples to large parts can be surfaced economically.
– Materials having different shapes can be surfaced.
– Metallic matrix composites (with or without ceramic particulates) can be produced on the surface,
– Mostly metallic powders are used for coating,
– Coatings are made for resistance to corrosion, wear, heat, erosion etc.
