Summary of the experiences and competences of Nanni
In 2014 I started my position at ENDURES B.V. in the Netherlands where I am responsible for all projects related to microbial influenced corrosion (MIC) and biofilm related issues. We focus on marine environments such as harbor and offshore structures but also problems in fresh, brackish and process water are part of our scope- summarized, we are active in all water-bearing systems (such as sprinkler or fire extinguishing systems) where microbial corrosion can take place.
Looking for help? Nanni can help you with the following items
In our team we focus on applied research to find new techniques for prevention and mitigation of MIC. We have a strain collection of MIC related microorganisms in house which can be used for individual set-ups based on customer wishes to test their effect on different materials.
Next to it we are doing consultancy for damage cases to help customers with MIC related related problems. We have a fully equipped microbiological laboratory for diagnosis of MIC related microorganisms. But our analysis is not only microbial based, we combine it with all other in-house disciplines such as material failure analysis or electrochemistry. With this expertise we are able to conclude if MIC or other corrosion mechanisms are the problem of the affected structure.
